Transition/ move on community

At Somewhere House we have a transition/move on community which is the phase where clients from in the house move into a house in Burnham on Sea and learn to transition back to every day life whilst having the support of the house, other clients and groups. In our free time In the community we spend time going to each other’s houses having dinner as a group, we go to meetings, we do fun activities and we support each other, as well as going into Somewhere house for groups, volunteering and having 1-1 counselling sessions. This weekend 8 clients from the move on group went ice skating at Clark’s village. We all had a great time and a laugh, a couple of clients were like watching Bambi on ice which made it all the more fun. We all had a nice take away after and sat in the warm reflecting on the fun evening we had. Being in recovery doesn’t mean you live a boring life, being in recovery allows you to live your life and have fun.
