Voluntary work at Somewhere House

Its a busy day today with volunteers being spread in our area with all the positive contribution to our community. Volunteering is part of our reintegration and over 200 hours per week of giving back.
Our volunteers help the community in many ways, for example some work in charity shops in Burnham on Sea and Bridgwater, some work with young people with learning disabilities at Somerset Time for Youth, we even have someone that works in a local nursing home working with elderly people with dementia and we have many that work in the local food bank.
Volunteering plays a big part in our clients recovery as gives then a sense of responsability and helps them to gain confidence about being around the general society.
