Assessments at Somewhere House
There is a new client who is being assessed today for treatment. This is an anxious time for a client who is thinking about making a life changing decision to put down the drink and drugs and address the changes that need to be made in their life, in pursuit of a happy and stable recovery and future.
The assessment process at Somewhere House is two stage and thorough. Firstly, you or your care manager can make an initial referral online via our website or by phone. This takes approximately 10 minutes and takes a few basic details.
Following this, a client will be invited to attend an assessment. This can be either be in person, by phone, FaceTime, Skype or Zoom.
After assessment and if a place in treatment is offered, then we will ask the client to have a think about what they would like to do, give them an information pack about our service and an open conversation regarding what treatment is really like here. If attending in person, clients are given a tour of the rehab facility, get to meet the clients and can even attend group therapy to get a taster of what goes on in our group work. The idea being to give clients an idea of what to expect so that they can make the best decision about their treatment, whether that is to come to treatment at Somewhere House or another treatment centre.
If you would like to refer yourself or are a care manager referring a client, please feel free to give us a call on 01278 795236
