The importance of boundaries

The importance of boundaries in recovery and also life are key to what treatment entails here. Having clear boundaries establishes a platform from which healthy choices can be made by a client. We support this process in group and one to one therapy, with recovery based work and life skills. A client handbook exists for all clients, who set the parameters under which they reside in treatment. Sometimes boundaries can be challenging to maintain and to further support the process of change, we operate a warning system. Far from being a punishment, our warning system is about getting clients to look at the learning when something is done and how they can change more positively.
