Gratitude in Recovery
Gratitude is a powerful tool in recovery. It helps shift our focus away from what is missing, lost, or difficult and towards what is positive and present in our lives. Recovery can be challenging, but taking time to appreciate even the small things—a supportive conversation, a safe place to live, or another day sober—can strengthen hope and resilience. Gratitude reminds us how far we have come and helps us stay grounded in the present moment. By practising gratitude daily, we build a more positive mindset, improve our wellbeing, and create a stronger foundation for lasting recovery and personal growth.
