Feelings come and go

This is the fundamental truth of the healing journey: no matter how intense or heavy they feel in the moment, difficult emotions are temporary. 

In recovery, your brain and nervous system are going through a process of recalibration. It is completely normal for waves of anxiety, grief, shame, or frustration to resurface, and sometimes they feel worse right before a breakthrough. These feelings can shift at anytime and the learning comes from sitting with these.
