About Somewhere House

Somewhere House has 3 directors, Angie & Dave Clarke and Victoria Boyles. Angie is the manager of Somewhere House and is very experienced in the field of addiction and mental health. Our aim is to provide an environment which promotes respect for others and which instils self respect. By doing this and supporting individuals in the program we give people the opportunity to develop and change.

Our Staff

Angie Clarke has over 24 years of experience working with addiction. 15 years of this time has been working in the acute and community mental health teams. Angie specialises in working with survivors of sexual abuse and addiction; she has also worked alongside the local drugs team. Her qualifications extend to a post graduate in professional counselling and she is also an accredited counsellor with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Angie shares her knowledge in the field by training staff throughout the country for organisations including the Richmond Fellowship, Somerset Partnership, Tulip Housing, etc.

Angie has been supervising staff for many years in addiction and other fields.

Our team of well qualified and highly experienced professional counsellors and administrative staff have many years of experience in addiction work and fully support the organisations ethics of respecting both the clients and themselves.

Our team is made up of individuals with very diverse backgrounds who are trained to promote independence and to recognise and celebrate diversity, difference and anti-oppressive practice.

Our aim is to provide the best care in the most constructive way, by encouraging individualism. We recognise that whilst we don’t all come tied up in a pretty bow, we are all equally valuable and all have the same rights.
